The stage unfolds entirely in the splendid countryside between Narni and San Gemini. Along the route, one encounters, in sequence, the marvelous 10th-century Abbey of San Cassiano (where time seems to have stood still!), the ancient Sanctuary of Madonna del Ponte, a place frequented by pilgrims since antiquity, and, in the locality of La Cerqua, the Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Quercia. Finally, the journey reaches San Gemini, an enchanting medieval village rich in history, which gave birth to San Pietro, the Franciscan protomartyr. The stage concludes near the Church of San Francesco.
