This is the richest stage in terms of places to visit along the entire route. The journey takes place on flat terrain but is made challenging both by the length of the route and the numerous ups and downs among the hills. It begins with the Church of San Michele Arcangelo, an ancient Benedictine abbey in Schifanoia, then continues with Santa Pudenziana, a church of Roman origin, and the Church of Sant'Angelo in Massa, originally a Benedictine abbey, and finally ends with the imposing Rocca del Cardinale Albornoz. Narni, the land of Sant'Adiuto, is a medieval city with a rich historical, artistic, and cultural heritage; known for its stunning cathedral and famous for the Corsa all'Anello (the Ring Race). The stage concludes at the Church of San Francesco, dating back to the 13th century.
